Safe, secure and enjoyable travel: What hotel services can do for you

Mr. Suda, General Manager of Sales & Marketing at the Sapporo Grand Hotel, explains what inspired the Mystery Hotel® initiative “We were looking for a way to provide a safe and secure but enjoyable experience in a hotel that takes strong measures to prevent infections,” he says.

To offer a different kind of time to our guests without worrying about the crowds, it was this desire that led to this project.

Suda recalls, "from 1990 to 2000, we held an event called Mystery Night®, which was well received by many of our guests."

Then, the event consisted of watching a play in the banquet room and gathering information around the hotel. When this project launched, it received a wave of positive reviews and feedback from fans who shared their experience on social networking sites. In the seven months after its launch, more than 300 parties have taken up the challenge.

"The difficulty level of the case is reputed to be quite high. There are many small exhibits around the premises that tell the hotel’s history, and we hope you’ll enjoy the experience of looking for clues. The plan includes a dinner with a choice of Japanese, Western, or Chinese cuisine, so please enjoy the meal as well,” says Mr. Suda.
